Goin' 2 NZ?

Сheers.

Muahaha!

Your IQ score is:
142142  You scored 142 on Tickle's IQ test. This means that based on your answers, your IQ score is between 132 and 142. Most people's IQs are between 70 and 130.
In fact, 95% of all people have IQs within that range. 68% of people score between 80 and 120. The following chart to your right, shows these percentages and where your IQ score is on that scale.

Print your Certificate of Intellectual Achievement.

There's more to intelligence than a single number, a single score or a single label. Tickle uses four distinguishable Intelligence Scales in the Ultimate IQ Test. By analyzing your individual scores on those four scales, we are able to look beyond the raw IQ score into how you process information and thereby determine your Intellectual Type.

How do you relate to other IQ test takers?

Your intellectual type is:
Facts Curator  Like a meticulous collector, you've fed your brain a unique set of facts and figures over the years. Words, numbers, you've got it all. That's what makes you a Facts Curator.

Whether or not you intend to absorb every piece of information that comes your way, your mind has certain steel-trap qualities to it. You are a knowledge sponge. You have almost enough words in your head to fill a dictionary, and you're equally adept when it comes to manipulating numbers. You can also detect important patterns in number sequences, and probably remember the mnemonic devices you were taught in grade school.

Ideas come when you least expect them...

Well, it's 3 am over here and I'm really should be headin' off to bed, 'cause I have to get up around 6ish. But this interesting idea keeps bugging me...
Why not develop a BBIM social network portal? Why not create an exclusive place for BBIM grads and undergrads where they could communicate freely, share experiences, write testimonies, etc.? Why not take the concept of Facebook and bring it to the BBIM environment, thus creating a community of unique people, bringing staff and students together?!
Of course, you can say that there is no need to reinvent something that has already been done... But, places like Facebook aren't really attractive to most of the faculty staff for a variety of reasons and they do limit a user in a certain way...What I propose is an exclusive BBIM social network built within the university infrastructure, integrated with its other resources, yet  this network will be open to any BBIM student, you won't have to accept/send friend requests - you are automatically linked to hundreds of people. After all, this is something that we already share in real-life - a seamless community of support, trust and collaboration...
So something like a BBIM social network could really elevate our community - both in social and academic contexts. Imagine not having to send an email to the Social Commitee, which let's face it, nobody does 'cause it's boring, dull and very impersonal, but instead being able to go live and to blog/chat about what events you want as a community; imagine being able to set up on-line groups within the university  having academic advice readily available; imagine sharing the university experience with your peers and your teachers alike.... The possibilities are great...
So what's next? Well, firstly, I'll have to speak to Doug, Alison and Don, if this project would get a buy-in and whether something like this would be entrusted to a student. If the project kicks off, I'll have to get a team of student enthusiasts that could help me in analyzing, planning and building the platform. Hell, personally, Itd do it for free, ' cause as a start-up developer, experience is invaluable, and if your CV says that you've helped to build something for the number one university in New Zealand (which I'm fortunate enough to have already done, but we all want more, don't we? :P) would definitely score me some extra points after I graduate.
So, that's it for now. I'll keep updating this journal with the project's progress and, yeah, I'll write later about another cool platfrom that I'm building right now.

Peace out,

Howzit?!

Well, howdie folks!
I've been resisting social networking for some time now. However, having experienced tons of peer pressure , I grew to understand that exposing yourself to the entire world is pretty darn fun. Also, being a big fan of Web 2.0, its ideology and culture, my move to LJ was long over due.
So what are you going to see here?
I guess pretty much anything about everything. Stuff ranging from technology to snowboarding: pretty much this place will be what I am in life - a dude that likes beer and gettin' out there and doin' stuff.
So if ya happen to find this page, you are more than welcome to read all of the random stuff that I post here.
Enjoy! :P
